US Quality Core Test Kit Added

Inferno on HealthIT.gov has been updated to include the US Quality Core Test Kit, which validates server and client implementations against the 2026 US Quality Core Implementation Guide v0.5.0. The US Quality Core IG defines FHIR API expectations for exchanging USCDI+ Quality V1 data and is intended to support quality measurement and related health IT workflows.

The test kit includes two suites:

  • The US Quality Core Server Suite tests a server’s FHIR endpoint by checking required read and search behavior, validating returned resources against the IG package, and verifying profile, terminology, reference, and MustSupport expectations for in-scope data.
  • The US Quality Core Client Suite simulates a conformant US Quality Core FHIR server, records requests made by a client, and evaluates whether those requests demonstrate support for retrieving in-scope USCDI+ Quality V1 data.

These tests are currently draft and are intended to support preliminary checks and implementation feedback.
